In addition to the extensive support staff at Arkansas Specialty Orthopaedics our team consists of physician, physician assistant and medical assistant.

Donna K. Barron, PA-C is a certified physician assistant who completed her masters of medical science in the PA program at St. Louis University. Her advanced training as a mid-level provider enhances the depth of knowledge, flow of communication and quality of patient care in the clinic. She also assists in surgery and with pre-op and post-op care. Donna and Dr. Newbern work closely together in diagnosing and managing problems of the hip and knee.

Shannon Boone-Felton, MA is the anchor of the team. With 12 years of experience as a medical assistant, she is very effective at making sure all the necessary information has been gathered, as well as arranging for labwork, prescriptions, diagnostic imaging tests, setting up physical therapy and executing all the steps needed to perform procedures. Shannon is very efficient at communicating with patients and helping in any way needed.
